MILLER STREET PATHWAYS PROJECT

The Miller Street To Pathways Housing Center Projects’ goal was to enhance the center’s hallways with aspiring quotes, a mural was installed on the arrival center’s walls, and directional signage was placed throughout the center with a design concept that reflects the resident’s hopes and dreams for their futures, creatively designed and the thought-out project was done by us students Design Consortium Class 2022 at Rutgers Newark University.

My role in this project was creating the sock box with help from two of my classmates, Adriana Salazar and Emily Shernius as well as illustrating the flowers and plants with another classmate, Brenda Villanueva. The theme of the overall project included illustrations stylized in line with works of flowers, plants, and silhouettes of children in a dream-like atmosphere to inspire hope and dreams. Introducing the overall theme into the sock box was shown through the box using colors and implementing line work similar to the other illustrations to make it cohesive with the rest of the project.
